This Privacy Policy describes how salon2hairdressing.ie ("the site", "we", "us") collects, uses and discloses your personal information when you visit this site, browse our services, book an appointment, or buy something from our shop.
We collect noticeably less than a typical online store. We don't run user accounts, and we never see or store your full payment card details — appointment bookings are handled by Phorest and shop payments are handled entirely by Stripe, both described below.When you visit the site, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used —
for example, which pages are visited, how long for, and roughly where in the world visitors
are. This involves cookies such as _ga and _ga_*, your IP address
(truncated), browser and device type. This information is collected automatically and shared
with Google as our analytics processor. See the Cookies section below.
When you book an appointment through this site, the booking widget is provided by Phorest, our salon management and booking platform. Information you enter to book — such as your name, email address, phone number, and chosen service, stylist and time — is collected and processed directly by Phorest, and stored in our Phorest salon system so we can manage your appointment, send reminders, and provide our services to you. Phorest's own privacy policy governs how they handle this information.
When you buy something from our online shop, checkout is handled entirely by Stripe. Stripe collects your name, email address, delivery address, and payment details directly — we only receive the information we need to fulfil your order (your name, email address, delivery address, the items ordered, and an order reference), not your full card number. We use your email address to send your order confirmation, and your order details are emailed to our team so we can pack and deliver it. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how they handle your payment information.
If you get in touch through our contact form or the Academy enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if given) and message, and email them to the relevant member of our team so they can reply to your enquiry.
A cookie is a small piece of information stored on your device when you visit our site. We use a small number of cookies:

Contact form messages and order emails are kept in our email only as long as needed to answer your enquiry or fulfil your order and meet our record-keeping obligations. Booking information is retained in our Phorest system in line with Phorest's data retention practices, for as long as needed to provide our services and meet our record-keeping obligations. Payment information is retained by Stripe in line with Stripe's own retention practices — we never receive or keep your card details.
If you are based in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, and to ask that it be transferred to another service. To exercise these rights over information held by Phorest or Stripe directly, you may need to contact them, but we're happy to help — just reach out using the details below.
Some of the services we use — Google Analytics, Stripe, Resend and Cloudflare — may transfer information outside the EEA, including to the United States. Where this happens, those providers rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, the tools we use, or for legal or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page.
